Women’s Hike: American Chestnut Tree
Join Brittany States for a hike that will focus on the revival of the American chestnut, how the poplar tree has taken its "place" in western North Carolina, and its tree identification through leaf and fruit characteristics. The hike will start as a one and a half mile loop. The group will continue on a two mile path that is connected on the Mountains to Sea Trail, but individuals are welcome to join just for the loop.
