Mark Patterson is the only kayak angler in North Carolina to catch three king mackerel in one day from a kayak. His topic for the class will be “Beyond the Breakers,” exploring how to rig your fishing kayak and safely fish offshore at the beach.

Mark resides in Greensboro and is one of the most well-rounded kayak anglers in the world. His knowledge of both fresh and saltwater species is immense and his ability to articulate and share his passion for the sport of kayak angling is very impressive. He is President and Founder of the North Carolina Kayak Fishing Association and hosts one of the nation’s largest kayak fishing tournaments, The Oak Island Classic.
